Hey there! I’m Joe Wood, and I’m an actor.
I was born and raised in Upstate New York (Syracuse/Finger Lakes) where I grew up skiing, hiking, and acting. My love for theater led me to Western New York, where I received my BFA in Music Theatre from University at Buffalo. I studied the Strasberg Method under Maria S. Horne. Learning from Maria changed my life - she helped me realize I had a deep passion for the art of acting, and a great need to understand it.
The next stop on my acting journey was Maggie Flanigan Studio. I studied the Meisner Technique under Charlie Sandlan in the two-year acting program. MFS was transformational for both my acting and my life, providing me with a strong foundation that has given me the confidence to approach any role.
People often describe me as charismatic, clever, and confident. My essence has been described as “smartest person in the room” and “underestimated hero.” I am attracted to transformational roles that utilize impediment and dialect.
